In addition, there are some research centers in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, students who meet certain criteria will be able to use the equipment.
In order to provide students with an environment in which they can concentrate on their studies, students selected for the Leading Graduate Program of Science and Engineering(Japanese text only) who have passed a screening by the financial support screening committee are offered financial support, which is considered to be personal income to be used for living expenses.
* The National Tax Agency stipulates that this kind of financial support is categorized as “Other Income.” Students receiving financial support are, as a rule, required to file an income tax return. When filing the income tax return, the income from this financial support is the amount received for one year (January 1 to December 31) minus any enrollment fees, tuition, research fees, and other expenses. Students are required to keep a record of expenses and hold on to financial documents and receipts.
In addition to this financial support, other scholarships are also available for students.
